The animals here

There are lots of dogs around here, specially in all the Buddhist places such as Temples, Monasteries, Nunneries, the Tibetan government offices etc, they most sense that they will not be hurt by people around this Buddhist places , they are very friendly and always playing with each other, they are also sleeping in the steps of these places kind of guarding the buildings, so you will see them in my pictures laying down or just looking at people, the only nasty thing they do its to chase monkeys.











There are cows, bulls, donkeys, monkeys, mongoose, beautiful butterflies,birds, very few cats and pesky bugs, having a Buddhist vow no to kill anything sometimes is very hard not to kill some of them, so I got bitten by some of them and a couple gave me a nasty bite (don’t know the kind of bug), so I had to go and get some powdered herbs and make a paste to apply in my arm till it got better.
The animals are used here just like in Mexico, to do hard labor and also as pets, but not being used to see cows everywhere it is funny how they appear everywhere at any time of the day and night.






Most animals are well fed and everyone feeds them so they really belong to the whole town, it is not unusual for a restaurant owner to come out with food for a cow or a dog, the free roaming cows are feed all the left over veggies that are discarded from the market every night as the market merchants sweep their left overs into the streets, and then the cows are used to this process so as soon as the market closes they appear to munch on cabbages, tomatoes, potatoes, cukes and all the other morsels that are discarded daily.






As you can see there is so much fun here, yes a different world but very realistic and practical, in which ancient ways are preserved and function well in this society, enjoy the pictures, until next update, just think how lucky we are and how much we have, even that we don’t realized it.
